EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Alan E. Weiss, President, holds an MS degree in Hydrogeology (1984) and a BS degree in Geology (1981), both from the University of Massachusetts, and is a licensed site professional (LSP #6442) and Registered Massachusetts Sanitarian (License #933).

Alan has been working throughout the northeastern United States for more than 25 years. His experience includes hydrologic research with the U.S. Geological Survey, Hazardous Waste Assessments, and remedial investigations with a New England based consulting firm. As a former regulator, he performed overview and technical support regarding hazardous and solid waste sites as well as leaking underground tank and emergency spill response for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (formerly the DEQE).

Most recently he has been consulting to residential, small business, and New England based industrial operators to provide sound, responsible, and affordable support in petroleum and hazardous waste assessment and clean-up, including testing and reporting.

His previous employment with the Massachusetts D.E.P. aids most clients in providing the proper, most economically feasible, and environmentally sound approaches to regulatory enforcement situations.
